Launched in 1956, the Day-Date was the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full at 12 o'clock. It is never made in steel. You will find it in yellow, white and Everose gold or platinum, usually on the semi-circular three-link President bracelet. The current Day-Date 40 sits alongside the classic 36mm size, and older references such as the 18038 and 18238 offer vintage character at a different price point.
Dials range from champagne and white to ice blue, olive green and stone options, some with diamond hour markers or a gem-set bezel. Each listing describes the dial and bezel precisely so you know what you are looking at.
