About the Rolex Day-Date 128236
The Day-Date, launched in 1956, was the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week spelled out in full. It is made only in gold or platinum, and it is the watch Rolex calls the President. The 128 series is the current Day-Date 36, which uses the same calibre 3255 movement as the larger model.
