About the Rolex Deepsea
The Rolex Deepsea, officially the Sea-Dweller Deepsea, is rated to 3,900 metres. Its 44mm case uses Rolex's Ringlock System, a nitrogen-alloyed steel ring inside the case that takes the pressure at depth, and it has a helium escape valve for saturation diving. The D-Blue dial fades from bright blue to black in tribute to James Cameron's 2012 solo dive to the Mariana Trench, while the classic version has a black dial.
