Rolex Explorer

Our Rolex Explorer for sale collection covers both branches of the family: the simple Explorer and the more technical Explorer II.
Explorer and Explorer II
The Explorer traces its story to the 1953 Everest expedition and remains one of the most understated watches Rolex makes. It has a black dial with 3, 6 and 9 numerals and a smooth bezel, and has been made in 36mm and 39mm sizes. The Explorer II is larger at 40 to 42mm. It adds an orange 24-hour hand and a fixed 24-hour bezel, useful for telling day from night or tracking a second time zone, with either a white Polar dial or a black dial.
On our site you will find references including the 124270, 214270, 216570 and 226570, plus earlier Explorer II models such as the 16570.
