About the Rolex Cellini
Named after the Renaissance goldsmith Benvenuto Cellini, the line was made almost entirely in precious metals and usually worn on a leather strap. Rolex has since retired it and replaced it with the Perpetual 1908, which makes good pre-owned examples more interesting to collectors. Recent Cellini models came in a 39mm case with a double bezel, one domed and one fluted. They included the Cellini Date, the Cellini Dual Time with a second time zone, and the Cellini Moonphase with its enamel moon disc. Older Cellini models are smaller and often in yellow gold.
